What Merryhive is
Merryhive gives you a public booking page. You describe the meetings you offer and the hours you work; guests pick a time; Merryhive writes the booking, sends the confirmations and reminders, and — if you have connected one — puts the event on your calendar and creates the meeting link.
If you charge for a meeting, Merryhive takes the guest through Razorpay checkout, paying into your own Razorpay account, before holding the slot, and records what the payment was worth.
Merryhive is the scheduling platform. It is not a party to the meeting. The service a guest is paying for is yours. We do not deliver it, vouch for it, vet you, or arbitrate what happened in the call.
Your account
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
Your username is the public part of your booking link. It is first come, first served. We may reclaim a username that impersonates someone, squats on a brand, or is being used to mislead people.
Acceptable use
Do not use Merryhive to:
- sell anything illegal where you or your guest is, or anything you are not licensed to sell;
- take money for a service you have no intention of delivering, or run any other payment fraud or money-laundering scheme;
- impersonate another person or business, on your page or anywhere else;
- send unsolicited bulk email using booking notifications, or harvest guest addresses for a mailing list they did not join;
- ask guests, through a custom booking question or the notes field, for card numbers, bank details, passwords, government identity numbers or health information — the booking form is not built to hold any of it;
- attack the service: scraping at volume, probing for vulnerabilities without telling us, circumventing rate limits, or reselling access as your own product.
You are responsible for what you publish on your booking page and for what you do with the guest data that reaches you through it, including complying with the privacy law that applies to you.
Payments and fees
How the money moves
Paid bookings and session packages are paid into your own Razorpay account, which you connect to Merryhive with your Razorpay API keys. Merryhive does not receive, hold or transfer your guests’ money at any point. Razorpay settles it to your bank on its own schedule. Your agreement with Razorpay — its KYC, merchant terms and fees — is between you and Razorpay, and this document does not override it.
Your API keys let Merryhive create payment orders, check whether an order was paid, and send refunds you confirm, on your account. We store the key secret encrypted and use it for nothing else. You can disconnect at any time under Apps, and you can revoke the keys in your Razorpay dashboard.
What we charge
- Nothing, during early access. There is no subscription, no monthly fee and no commission on paid bookings or session packages.
- If we introduce paid plans or a commission, every host will be told by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. A change never applies to bookings already paid for.
The payment gateway’s own fee — roughly 2% — is charged by Razorpay on your account and is not Merryhive revenue. The exact rate is set by Razorpay and depends on how the guest pays.
All amounts are in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for your own tax: charging GST where you must, issuing the right invoices, and filing your own returns. Merryhive generates invoices and GST records from the details you give it; the correctness of those details is yours.
Refunds, cancellations and chargebacks
The host owns the refund decision, and the refund. You set your own cancellation and refund policy, you publish it on your booking page or your meeting descriptions, and you decide whether a given guest gets their money back. Merryhive does not refund a guest on its own, does not overrule you, and does not mediate a dispute between you and a guest about whether a session happened or was any good.
Guests: if you want a refund, ask the host; they issue it from their dashboard. The full process, including timelines and packages, is in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
When a host issues a refund from the dashboard:
- the guest is repaid through the original payment method, in full or in part;
- the refund is sent from your Razorpay account, where the payment was taken;
- Razorpay does not return its gateway fee on a refund;
- a partial refund leaves the remainder refundable later.
A refund is issued by a signed-in host confirming it; no guest can trigger one. There is one automatic exception: if a guest has paid but the booking can no longer be made — most often because the time was taken while they were paying — the payment is refunded to them in full straight away, because there is no session to deliver.
If a guest raises a chargeback or dispute with their bank about your session, you are responsible for answering it with Razorpay, since the payment was made to your account. Merryhive will give you the booking records we hold to help you answer it.
What we do and do not promise about uptime
We work to keep Merryhive available and correct, but we do not offer a service level agreement, and we do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error free. Scheduling depends on services we do not control — Vercel, Supabase, Resend, Razorpay, Stripe, Google, Microsoft, Zoom — and on email actually arriving, which nobody can guarantee.
Practically: do not treat a Merryhive confirmation as the only record of an important meeting. If a booking matters, keep it on your own calendar too.
Merryhive is early software. Features change, and some are still being built. We may add, change or remove functionality; we will not remove something you are paying specifically for without telling you.
Your content, and ours
What you put into Merryhive stays yours. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store it, to display your booking page to the guests you send there, to put it into the emails and calendar events Merryhive sends on your behalf, and to pass it to the processors listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to advertise, and we do not sell it.
The Merryhive name, the software and the design are ours. Using the product does not give you a licence to copy or rebrand it.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Merryhive is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind — merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement included.
We are not liable for:
- a meeting that was missed, double-booked or scheduled at the wrong time;
- an email or reminder that did not arrive;
- lost business, lost profit, lost data or reputational harm;
- anything a host or a guest did to the other.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is capped at the greater of (a) what you paid Merryhive in the three months before the claim, or (b) ₹5,000. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to cover us against claims brought by your guests, or by anyone else, arising out of the service you sold through your booking page.
Ending it
You can stop at any time. Change or drop your plan from Plans & Billing — it takes effect immediately, and nothing is locked behind a plan, so a downgrade never takes a feature away. To close the account entirely, email us and we will delete it; see what happens to your bookings first, because deleting an account deletes future bookings and your guests are not told.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable use section, that is being used for fraud, or that exposes us to legal risk. Except where the breach is serious or illegal, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it. If we close your account without cause we will refund any plan fee covering time you did not get.
The payments, liability and indemnity sections survive the end of this agreement, as do any financial records we are required to keep.
Governing law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of the operator’s registered city have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are contracting as a consumer in a country whose law gives you rights you cannot sign away, this clause does not take those rights from you.
We will update these terms as Merryhive changes. The “last updated” date at the top moves whenever we do; for a material change we will email hosts. Continuing to use Merryhive after a change means you accept the new version.
Questions about these terms: hello@merryhive.com, or see the contact page. The companion document is our Privacy Policy, and current pricing is on the pricing page.
